Silent Man

I love Mini-Comix! This is a mini-mini comic! This is an 8 page comic constructed from one 8.5X11 sheet of paper.

“Silent Man” is a two track comic set to the lyrics of Simon and Garfunkel’s ‘The Sound of Silence.” Cool little piece. If you are unfamiliar with the concept of “Two Track” comics, it is where there is often a series of images that might be unrelated to the overarching text or narrative that is presented. When placed together within the same panel new meaning emerges. These are rarely “gag comics,” oftentimes they are pieces one must just sit with and as you do you can begin to see some pictures, maybe from your own life.

Our lives often feel like they are running in two separate tracks, but when embraced we can, many times, see the beauty of our own stories through a larger narrative that adds meaning. I hope you enjoy “Silent Man.”
